Spring Cleanse- Adjunct Therapies

One of my favorite parts of my spring cleanse is the many adjunct therapies that go along with it. I had acupuncture last week and will have a lymphatic drainage massage this week. I am starting week 3 and feel so much more energy and calm! My hip that bothers me is extremely happy that I am not consuming caffeine or sugar and my anxiety levels have dropped immensely.

So back to the fun parts. In the picture you can see a mobile sweat bath and they are going to roll in the snow after getting very hot. The hot and cold therapy is very good for you, boosts your immune system and has been done fore many centuries…..My version is going in the steam room at the gym and taking a cold shower afterwards. Yes it is hard to get in the cold water, but you feel so exhilarated after it is worth it. I also do a “taco sweat” where I take a hot soak in the bathtub with seaweed and mineral salts then wrap myself up in blankets and just lay there and sweat!

It is very important to drink lots of water to remove the toxins along with the sweats and make sure you have a reputable source of nutrition that provides the nutrients for phase 1 and phase 2 liver detoxification.

I of course visit my chiropractor, take a nice nap when I feel like it and spoil myself with flowers and take time for a nice cup of tea and a good book. Grounding and a swim and some sun also are enjoyable.
