Remember the Good Times!

When a person doesn’t properly look after his or her brain health, a poor memory is often the result. This is unfortunate, since it can cause a person to forget about some of his or her fondest memories and can also make daily functioning a real hassle. The good news is that health and healing is possible! If you have noticed your memory is a little on the sluggish side lately, start taking steps to improve it and your overall brain health right away. One thing you can do is to make sure you are getting enough rest! It might sound overly simplistic, but when you deprive your body of the rest it needs, of course your brain and your memory are going to suffer. Get in that full eight hours of sleep per night, no matter what!

Just as you don’t want to skip out on sleep, you also shouldn’t skip those daily trips to the gym or time spent doing other forms of physical exercise. Exercise is important because it helps your entire system and allows your brain to function at its best. You’ll also want to make sure that you’re eating a healthy diet, rich in proteins and full of leafy vegetables. Make sure to make time for yourself as well. Studies show that those who regularly relax and spend time with friends or family have better memories than those who don’t.
