Change Your Attitude- Change Your Experience

Lately I have been blessed with some insight into the human condition. Months ago I was spending a lot of time thinking about a problematic family member who was moving back home and it came to me that it didn’t really matter what she said or what she did that I could just love her anyway and not let all her nonsense affect me. So I dropped it, changed my attitude and low and behold she called me on my birthday and we had a lovely chat! I have been a positive thinker for some time now and do my best to live in and appreciate the present moment. I also believe that what you think about comes to pass in your reality. I often proclaim what a fabulous day weatherwise it is and more often than not the response is “but we need more moisture” or some other complaint. I realized what a waste of time and energy it is to “worry” about the weather when there is nothing we can do about it short of not driving so much and stop using plastic (but that’s another rant for another day).
So what does all this have to do with your health! Well alot! Worrying about your health and watching all of those drug ads on television is quite counter-productive. It has been discovered that those healing from chronic disease do much better when they have a positive attitude. I am a great believer in affirmations. By daily affirming that I am healed, whole and healthy my cells believe that too and react inkind. So do the best you can for your health… right, exercise, think positive thoughts and give your body the treatment it deserves. After all who else will be there to support you every day of your life? Chiropractic, massage, a good nights sleep¬†and a vacation should all be on your list of things to do! Happy health!
